Notes
( 1 ) The Erne Trophy was presented to the MCUI in June 1952 by J A Carvill of Erne Motor and Cycle Company. This Trophy has been awarded to the Irish Champion from the 1952 - 53 season, the first winner being K Keegan.
                              ( 2 ) A 5 round championship, known as the Mini-Series was held duting Oct-Nov 1978 to convert the season to the calendar year.  This decision was reversed almost immediately and an 8 round championship was held from Jan-Mar 1979 to convert back to the winter season.
( 3 ) Mini series Sep-Dec 1995 to convert to calendar year
( 4 ) Mini series Jan-Apr 2000 reverting back to winter season
